2 Rescued from Rising Santa Ana River Waters

Two people were rescued from rising Santa Ana River waters Monday night. Firefighters received a call of a male and female along with 3 dogs trapped on island in the Santa Ana Riverbed before 9pm along Riverside Avenue.

The swift water rescue team from the Riverside County Fire Department put an inflatable boat into the water and brought the victims along with their dogs across the flowing water to safety.

The female complained of leg pain but declined medical treatment.
