Gusty winds fueled a fast-moving brushfire Wednesday afternoon. The fire broke out along the 15 freeway and Sierra Avenue just before 2pm.

It quickly spread to 150 acres, threatening nearby homes. Dozens of firefighters were called to the scene. Water dropping helicopters and aircraft dropped fire retardant to help slow it down.

Firefighters gained the upper hand on the fire within a couple of hours and many of the firefighters were released from the scene.
