The ICU capacity at Riverside County hospitals has hit 0%. Health officials reported 6,741 new COVID-19 cases on Monday. They also reported 13 deaths over the weekend.
There are simply no more licensed intensive care beds available across the county. Surge plans call for converting other equipment into ICU beds according to the Jose Arballo, Riverside University Health System spokesperson. Surge plans also call for cancelling elective surgeries.

There are also two federal medical facilities in Riverside and Indio that were brought in by national guard units, however there are no plans to open those. Equipment can also be used from the sites if needed.
