Bruder Fire Rages Overnight in Redlands

Redlands Firefighters are battling a 100-acre brushfire. The “Bruder” fire broke out Wednesday night around 10pm near Live Oak Ave east of Redlands.

The fire grew in size threatening a dozen homes. Residents were asked to evacuate. Firefighters spent the night protecting structures as well as trying to gain the upper hand. In the morning, aircraft dropped water and phos-chek on the flames.

 Santa Ana winds are expected to pick-up in the evening hours.
