Large Warehouse Catches Fire in Redlands

A 60,000 square-foot warehouse caught fire in Redlands early Friday morning. The blaze broke out around 5:30am in the 2200 block of West Lugonia Ave. A 3rd alarm was called, bringing firefighters from all around San Bernardino County to help battle the blaze. The 10 freeway at California avenue was closed in both directions for a short time.

The building is a distribution warehouse for a shipping company. Firefighters say there were 100 people inside the building when the fire started. Everyone got out safely. It took firefighters several hours to knock down the blaze.
