Deputies Thwart Plan to Loot Victoria Gardens

Deputies assigned to the Rancho Cucamonga Police Department successfully stopped a plan to loot Victoria Gardens. On Monday, June 1, deputies received information about a possible burglary at the outdoor mall. Deputies saturated the area conducting multiple traffic stops.

They found sledgehammers, picks, and other pry tools in the various vehicles they stopped. A total of eight suspects were arrested. Four males were booked for possession of burglary tools, one booked for resisting an officer. Three juveniles were cited and released to parents, also for possessing burglary tools.

None of the businesses at Victoria Gardens were vandalized or looted due efforts of the deputies.
