The San Bernardino County public health director Trudy Raymundo is expected to resign her position at the end of May.
In a recent memo, county human services said Raymundo would be leaving by May 29. An official announcement has not been made by county officials, nor has a replacement been named.
Raymundo has only said through a statement: “It’s time for me to take a break and see what else is out there because I know this time will continue to thrive, serve and achieve.”
Raymundo’s duties include managing the department overseeing the county response to COVID-19.
