Businesses to Permanently Close

Businesses have announced permanent closures in the Inland Empire. They have been closed since the health orders came down in March and will not re-open as restrictions are lifted. We will continue to update this list:

NORDSTROM

Nationwide Nordstrom is shuttering 16 stores across the country. Two local locations include stores at Montclair Place in Montclair and the Riverside Galleria in Riverside. In addition to the closures, the company is doing a major restructuring as well as cutting overhead costs.

SOUPLANTATION

Garden Fresh Restaurants has announced it is closing all 97 of its buffet restaurants due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Garden Fresh Restaurants is the parent company of Souplantion. A statement posted on its website thanked the 4,400 team members that worked for the company. Souplantation has 4 inland locations that include Rancho Cucamonga, San Bernardino, Chino Hills and Temecula.

LASER ISLAND

Laser Island in Upland has announced it will not re-open. Owner Doug Hornecker says he can’t afford to keep the business open any longer. Hornecker told NBC 4 his busiest months are March and April, right when he was forced to close due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Laser Island has been in Upland for 12 years.
