The Pomona Police Department Major crimes task force was busy overnight. Just after 11pm, the task force officers noticed several people loitering in front of a convenience store at Towne and Mission Boulevard. Police say the subjects were near two parked cars. As the officers made contact, they recognized Jose Aguilar as a convicted felon and known gang member. They say Aguilar made a quick movement towards one of the cars.
