Chino Mens Prison Coronavirus Outbreak: Numbers Continue to Rise

The number of inmates testing positive for COVID-19 at the Chino Institution For Men continues to rise. The California Department of Corrections reports 452 cases among inmates and 52 among the staff. 6 of the inmates have been released from custody. The inmate death toll now totals 5.

Testing for the coronavirus continues at the facility. The CDCR says they are working closely with infectious disease control experts to minimize the impact of COVID-19 at their facilities.
