The California Institution for men in Chino is dealing with a Coronavirus outbreak. The California Department of Corrections reports show 211 cases among inmates and 1 death. Additionally, 4 inmates that tested positive for COVID-19 were released from the prison.
There are also 44 cases among staff members working at the facility. CIM reports the highest number of cases among all of the prison facilities in California. CDCR attributes the numbers to increased testing. CIM also has 287 pending cases.
